Lysa's Birthday
A couple of weekends ago, it was one of our volleyball crew's sudden birthdays...I say 'sudden' because she only sms me like on Fri (her birthday was on Sat) inviting me over (no...I wasn't a last resort or a filler or anything...at least I hope not :P ahaha). Anyway, it was a BBQ and 'beach' volleyball type of party at Coogee beach (which is like the younger brother of the famous Bondi beach...which is just about 5km up the coast)...the weather and the entire day was perfect :) and there was a crowd, but not as crowded as Bondi.
Nothing much more to say really, we (Lil and myself) went there only intending to stay a couple of hours, but because the company was sooo good ;), there was a volleyball net set up, good food, fantastic weather...we ended up staying almost the entire afternoon there...sensibly leaving just as the storm clouds were gathering (it rained in the evening :P). Besides the normal BBQ food (corn, steak, mee goreng?!) Lysa got these swedish meatballs...from IKEA! it was delicious and I could have easily eaten dozens of them :P haha...I also got the chance to meet Scott (Lysa's bf) whom everyone was mentioning to me. Nice guy (I also play against him in volleyball at Broadway) despite what he does on the court :0 haha... oh well...you just cannot judge a book by the cover :P my bad...
Of course there was volleyball...which was pretty cool (especially if you have a portable vball net that can be set up anywhere...even with line markings!)..compared to the competition I have had the past month, this was really just for fun...enjoyable...
