Leo's Leaving
Found out a week ago that my good friend Leo is leaving Westpac Sydney to move back to Melbourne to study physio :(. Now usually I wouldn't make much of this, just another friend who is moving away (and another excuse to go travelling to visit)...however Leo is different. Got to know him on my first day in Sydney at Westpac and it was him who introduced me to his group of friends (who eventually became my friends too) and from there got to know other people. You know when you are in a 'new' state and don't know anyone...it does get pretty lonely, and you really gotta make the effort to find friends. But its difficult if you got no one to 'intro' you to the group and actually invite you to the outings so that you actually have time to mix and mingle and be accepted. Luckily for me, Leo was that person who gave me that head start in the Sydney social scene and I am so grateful for that :) He is a top bloke, friendly and an all round nice guy (plus the girls just love him)..hehe. Planning to go to Melbourne in June when both of our favourite footy teams are playing each other @ Telstra Stadium!All the best Leo!!! :)
