Lawyer's Aquatic Challenge 2007

Yesterday (after work), the firm took part in the annual Lawyers' Aquatic Challenge. Needless to say, this was an annual event contested by all the law firms in Sydney. Last year, my firm won the entire event, mainly due to some really strong swimmers in our firm as well as a very large group of people competing :). I took part in this thinking it could be a bit of fun :P little did I know that you had to compete in Speedos :P which I was not use to wearing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speedo) hehe :P now I wished that I had spent those extra hours in the gym instead of blogging :P. Anyway to cut a long long story shot on the entire event...due to unforseen circumstances, we didn't win (nor I for that matter) the competition. However, what I did take back from that experience was I got to meet other active people in the firm (ie. meet more people), had a few beers (after the race of course), food, socialised, got a free pair of speedos :) haha...and most importantly got some exercise! I took part in the 50m free, and the 10x50m relay...never swam so fast before since High School...tiring :) but satisfying to hear your heart pumping and your muscles contracting and expanding...just like a gym workout (but in 35 secs) haha...
Can you spot me? I know I didn't beat the guy in Lane 7 or 5...I just hope I beat the guy in Lane 6 :P Remember Australia is an island, so Aussies just love to swim... ;) Here are some more photos from the day...
